Image Compressor PRO Smart compression without perceptual loss
On-premise engine · libvips · Imagick · WebP · AVIF

Images up to 10× smaller without a visible difference

Upload JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP or AVIF and get back optimized files plus WebP and AVIF versions. Everything runs on your server — no image ever leaves it.

  • SSIM-based adaptive quality
  • No accounts or credits
  • Files are deleted automatically

Everything a cloud service does, on your own server

An optimization engine written in plain PHP 8.5, no framework, built on the best image libraries available.

Smart compression

For each image we search for the lowest quality that preserves structure (SSIM), testing the most detailed area at real resolution.

WebP & AVIF

Besides the original format, generate WebP and AVIF — modern formats save another 30–60%.

100% on-premise

No external APIs. Files stay in your storage and are deleted automatically after an hour.

libvips first

The fastest open-source image processor, with automatic fallback to ImageMagick and GD.

Bulk optimization

Hundreds of images or whole folders, processed in parallel and downloaded as a ZIP.

Clean PHP, no framework

Easy to audit and extend: router, engine, drivers. Configured from a single file.

Three compression modes

Pick the right trade-off between size and fidelity.

Lossy

70–90%

Best size/quality ratio. Recommended for websites and online shops.

Web, e-commerce, blogs

Glossy

40–70%

Very high quality, full chroma, practically no artefacts even when zoomed.

Photographers, portfolios, print

Lossless

5–30%

Pixel-identical image; only the encoding is optimized.

Archiving, technical graphics, screenshots

How it works

  1. 1

    Analyse

We detect the format from content, EXIF orientation, transparency and colour profile.

  2. 2

    Test region

We crop the most detailed area (smartcrop) at final resolution — that is where artefacts show.

  3. 3

    Quality search

Binary search over encoder quality until SSIM reaches the threshold of the chosen level.

  4. 4

    Final encode

We encode the full image, run lossless optimizers and keep only what is smaller.

Engine status

FAQ

How much smaller do images get?

Typically 60–80% for JPG in Lossy mode, 70–90% for graphic PNGs, and AVIF saves another 30–50% over the optimized JPG. It depends on how well the original was compressed.

What does “smart compression” mean?

Instead of a fixed quality, the engine tests several values on a detailed region and picks the lowest one that keeps structural similarity (SSIM) above a threshold. Simple images compress more, detailed ones less.

Is metadata removed?

By default we strip EXIF/XMP (it may contain GPS location) but keep the ICC colour profile. You can keep all metadata in the advanced options.

How long do images stay on the server?

One hour by default (configurable). After that, originals and results are deleted automatically.

What if the original is already optimized?

We never deliver a bigger file: if the result is not smaller, the original is kept. Likewise, WebP/AVIF larger than the optimized version are skipped.

Ready to make your site faster?

Smaller images mean better LCP, less bandwidth and better SEO.
